If you’re like most people, you go on vacation over the summer. After all of your hard work day after day at the gym, it’s time for some rest and relaxation, right?
It’s great to have down time, but try not to forego all of your activity and healthy eating while on vacation, or it may be a chore to get back to your old self in one or two weeks’ time.
Give yourself time to indulge, but make sure to stay active as much as possible; go for a walk/run on the beach, do a quick set of situps and push ups before heading out to the beach, pick a healthier version of whatever you are going to eat or drink.
It only takes a couple of weeks for muscles to atrophy and the weight to start coming back. If you make more good choices than bad ones, you should stay on track over your vacation.
