Outdoor Workouts

If you have 10 minutes, or even 20 to get in a quick outdoor workout, here are some great exercises to try:

  • Walking lunges
  • Bench squats (use a picnic or park bench)
  • Bench push ups
  • Curb calf raises
  • Pull ups (playground equipment)
  • Jogging on the spot or around a track/trail
  • Squat jumps
  • side shuffles

Try to do 2-3 sets of 15 for each exercise. Try interspersing a cardio burst between each exercise, like a 30 second jumping jack.

Being outside while you work out is so enjoyable- you can admire the beauty of your location as well as enjoying some fresh air and a breeze.
